Swamy Vivekanadha College of Pharmacy was established in the Year 1992. The College offers Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate and Doctoral level programmes in Pharmacy. Professor Dr. M. Karunanithi established Angammal Educational Trust in 1987 and Krishna Educational and Charitable Trust in 2006. He took over Rabindharanath Tagore Educational Charitable Trust in 2010, which was started in the year 2002. He is the architect and driving force behind the temples of learning under the banner of the "VIVEKANANDHA EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
The library has developed an excellent collection of books like Pharmaceutics, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical and Medicinal chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Biotechnology and also journals. Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy provides accommodation facilities with well furnished double and four occupancy rooms, sprawling and artistic layout, hygienic kitchen, spacious dining halls, indoor courts for shuttle & table tennis. Every student has access to a wide range of activities, facilities and support. The hostels are administered by wardens and they take utmost care of the students. Every hostels are provided with STD and ISD call services.
