The college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and recognized by Govt. of Tamilnadu. Sree Abirami Charitable Trust was formed under the Chairmanship of Shri.Dr.P.Periyaswamy in the year 1996 with a strong motive to provide quality care to the humanity, by means of providing quality education.
Pharmacy profession demands strict adherence to a set of ethical principles. Main aim of the college is to ensure the provision for high quality value-based education while maintaining utmost professionalism, integrity and ethics. The hospital started in 1992, has grown into a 300 bedded multi specialty facility due to the continuous efficient performance, hard work and public support. For admission, any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course and pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics10 +2 examination (academic stream) in science
