The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is Recognized by Govt. of Karnataka.
BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. It is an undergraduate degree program in the field of Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine that has its roots in ancient India. BAMS is designed to train students in the principles and practices of Ayurveda, preparing them to become Ayurvedic doctors. The BAMS curriculum includes subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Forensic Medicine. Ayurvedic subjects such as Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya are also part of the curriculum. The Clinical training is a significant component, where students gain hands-on experience in Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment.
