Shreedevi College of Physiotherapy -Dakshina Kannada

Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy was established in the year 1993 with the aim of train young ones to enter into this physiotherapy profession and provide endless service to humanity. The College is located at Ballalbagh in Mangalore district. Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (I.A.P.). Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy offers Bachelor’s Degree programme in physiotherapy (B.P.T.) The curriculum has a period of four years including a compulsory internship of six months in a hospital.

The college also runs its own Physiotherapy clinic where services are made available to the patients at cost free. Study material is made available to the students in the form of a well-stocked library with books of different authors. Journals, periodicals and magazines are regularly subscribed to, fulfilling the needs of every students. Students are provided access to e-journals and e-books under Digital Library. The college owns number of buses to ensure comfortable transportation for its students. The students learn to help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advices also given to patients.

Separate hostel facility for boys and girls is available for the students who are far away from the college. The hostels are provided with comfortable rooms with attached bathrooms, furniture, appropriate lighting and ventilation, purified water, hygienic food and an information centre for TV and newspapers. The hostel warden is responsible for the discipline, maintenance of the valuable things and rooms. Other hostel staff consists of caretakers, block supervisors and attendants also help the students in any conditions. A hygienic mess provides nutritional and delicious dishes for the students.
