SIMS College Of Physiotherapy - Guntur

SIMS College of Physiotherapy was started in the year 1978. SIMS College of Physiotherapy is recognized by Government of Andhra Pradesh and affiliated to Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and recognized by Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP).
BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is a professional course which runs for 4 years with 6 months compulsory internship and has an annual intake of 50 seats. The courses encourages the students to become highly competent professionals in Physiotherapy . The study includes Theory, practical & Clinical training giving students about the knowledge of body, injury, healing and various physiotherapy treatment methods. Internship at the end of the course provides the students a better practical knowledge and experience. At the time of admission, candidates should have passed 2 years of Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 ) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which include a practical test in each subject.

SIMS has excellent infrastructure. The college has well equipped laboratories for various departments and has a good spacious library to meet the academic needs of every students. The college has 300 seater air conditioned auditorium. Clinical training include physiotherapy training and the college has tie up with various multi-specialist corporate hospital attachment with Government Hospital, Guntur. SIMS provides large number of buses and vans for helping the faculty and students to reach easily to and from the college who are far away from the college.
The college has professional and experienced faculty. Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided with a highly secure ambience. The college offers healthy and tasty food, maintains the kitchen and dining room in neat and tidy.
