National College of Pharmacy was established in 1967 and one among the four oldest colleges of Karnataka. The College is committed to quality education and dissemination of knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences for better health and service to the humanity. National College of Pharmacy is approved by the apex bodies All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health of Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore.
The course of B. Pharm will extend over a period of four academic years. The curricula and syllabi for the course will be prescribed from time to time by RGUHS. National College of Pharmacy has well furnished lecture hall. It is equipped with audiovisual equipment like slide and film projectors, OHP’s, etc,. The College has well equipped spacious laboratories in all the subjects of pharmaceutical sciences. National College of Pharmacy has a spacious library houses more than 14,000 books and subscriptions to 28 national and international journals. The Library also subscribes to more than 5000 E-Journals through the HELINET Consortium. The college has well furnished A/C seminar hall, which is equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment like Slide and Film Projectors, OHP's, Video Projectors, LCD, built-in Audio Systems, pull down screens and public address systems with Cordless Microphones. Good Multi-Gym and Canteen facilities are provided in a convenient location in the college campus. A well furnished hostel facility is available for girl students very near to the college. Clean, hygienic and nutritious food is provided at hostel premises.
