Mangala College of Physiotherapy is a popular college was established in 2017. It is one of the leading college in Medicine and Health Sciences. It is located at Vidyanagar in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college was established by Mangala Educational Trust. Mangala College of Physiotherapy is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore and Recognized by Govt. of Karnataka and Indian association of physiotherapist. Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a 4 year undergraduate programme including six months of mandatory clinical Internship. BPT has an annual intake of 40 seats. The program is designed to help the students to analyze the physical movements and impart knowledge required to assess, diagnose and treat patients.
During the four year course, a candidate develops an understanding of the human body and physical movement on the basis of medical science. Physiotherapy is a health care profession directed at evaluating and maintaining physical function. Physiotherapists are required in every hospital and health clinics. The college has good library with relevant reference and issue books for all the offered courses, written by foreign and Indian authors. Latest health related magazines, newsletters, CDs and other I T materials are available in the library and qualified professionals manage library.
Separate hostels for boys & girls very close to the college premises with essential furniture, fixtures and other equipments are provided. In addition to this, mess, hot water, telephone, television, and other modern facilities are available in hostel. The students will be under the strong support and supervision of the competent wardens.
