International Society for Human Welfare and Rehabilitation (ISHWAR) is a Society, founded by Padam Shri, Shri Surinder Mehta, Chairman Prime Group of Companies in the Year 1995. The focus of Society is to bring succor to Persons with Locomotor Disabilities (PWLD) from marginalized and underprivileged sections of the society. It fits artificial limbs (Prostheses) and limb support devices (Orthoses) to the needy through its Artificial Limb Centre at Delhi. ISHWAR has also been selected by few companies for implementation of their CSR projects for the benefit of physically challenged persons. The Society having a pan India footprint, has benefitted a large number of people, since its inception.
Ishwar Institute Of Prosthetics & Orthotics offers Bachelor's degree in Prosthetic and Orthotics is a four year full-time undergraduate course that includes a six-months mandatory training with three months of prosthetics and three months of orthotics. Prosthetics and orthotics mainly deal with the rehabilitation of individuals by designing medical supportive equipment. Candidate who has passed 10+2 in science or equivalent with physics, chemistry biology/ mathematics, and English with minimum aggregate 50% marks in PCBE/PCME will be eligible for admission to this course. College has a spacious library which is stocked with relevant textbooks, research journals, and resources.
