Initially, the college commenced operations at the Central Polytechnic College campus in Tharamani, Chennai. Subsequently, after the completion of construction and the establishment of laboratories, it was relocated to its current site in the year 2017. The college is strategically positioned to be accessible by both railway and bus transportation. The V.O.C. Nagar Railway station is in close proximity, and there are bus facilities available from various locations across the city. The move to a dedicated location in 2017 reflects the commitment to providing quality technical education to the local community in R.K. Nagar.
