CIDS has the approval of the Ministry of Health, GOI and the Dental Council of India and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
The curriculum covers various aspects of dentistry, including basic medical sciences, dental materials, oral pathology, periodontology, orthodontics, oral surgery, community dentistry, and more. Students receive a comprehensive education in both the theoretical and practical aspects of dentistry. Clinical training is a crucial component of the BDS course. Students gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating dental conditions under the supervision of experienced faculty. After completing the academic requirements, students typically undergo a mandatory internship or residency program. This phase provides practical exposure to various dental procedures and patient management.
