College of Architecture - Trivandrum

College of Architecture was established in the year 2011 and is located at Vilappil in Trivandrum district. It is one of the largest architecture and design college in Trivandrum, State of Kerala, India. The institution is popularly known as CAT. The institute is affiliated to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technological University and approved by the Council of Architecture (COA) for the B Arch program and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the B Des program. College has expert and dedicated faculties for conducting the classes. All classrooms are well furnished and provides peaceful ambience. Good spacious library is an another salient feature of this college. The library has wide collection of textbooks, reference materials, magazines and journals. Books of national and international authors are also available in the library. The college has modernized laboratories for providing better education. The latest technologies gives the opportunity to the students to familiarize the use of these kinds of technologies and tools. The laboratories are Model Making Lab, Carpentry Lab, Concrete Lab [Machine, Sieve Analysis Machine and Slump test apparatus], Building Material Lab [Universal Testing Machine (UTM)], Survey lab, Construction Lab, Climatology Lab. The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls and the management ensure safety and security of the students who are residing in hostel. Inmates get nutritious food and 24 hours uninterrupted water supply. Hostel warden undertake the responsibility of every inmates.
