Recognizing this patient load and significance, Government of Karnataka permitted to establish Government Medical College at Chitradurga with admission of 150 MBBS seats from the 2023-24 academic year. In order to continue the process, CMCRI obtained Consent of Affiliation from esteemed Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru and Essentiality and Feasibility Certificate is issued by Government of Karnataka.
