Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences is a budding medical institute whose seed was sown by the Government of Karnataka to achieve the WHO goal of “Health for All” to attain the highest possible level of health and well-being and promotive health care orientation in all developmental policies, and access to good quality health care services without anyone having to face financial hardship as a consequence. To cater to the health care services of the district Government of Karnataka sanctioned medical institute in the year 2013-14. Institution has a well equipped and a comprehensive library, which offers students with all the reference material, they require for an in-depth understanding of their specific subjects. The library also subscribes for journals on the relevant subjects. Dedicated staff, excellent facilities and a committed management are the major assets of the Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences. There are separate hostels for boys and girls that are comfortable and reasonably priced.
